Lip Blushing

Lip blushing is another form of semi-permanent makeup. With a lip blushing application, the Defined Beauty makeup artist will apply a cosmetic tattoo of the lips to enhance the beauty of the natural lip color. This procedure also improves the shape of the lips while giving the definition and the illusion of fullness. WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR PMU PROCEDURE

So you’re ready to have your permanent makeup done, but you are not sure what to expect. Fear of the unknown might be a factor…I mean this is your face! In my attempt to settle your nerves, let’s break down the process for you…

  • Time Frame - A typical permanent makeup appointment lasts 3 hours. A touch up appointment usually lasts an hour to 1.5 hours, depending on the amount of work that needs to be done.

  • Interview - We will ask you a series of questions about your style, what kind of makeup you wear and your personal shape preferences. Your answers will help us understand your expectations and guide in selecting the perfect technique and shape.

  • Numbing - We will apply numbing cream to the area we will work on. Once the skin is broke another topical anesthetic can be applied.

  • Shaping/Mapping - Next we will draw the eyebrows, eyeliner or lips directly on your skin using a special waterproof pencil/marker. This template creation allows the client to see the final look before any permanent work is performed.

  • Process - Client will be asked to lay down and relax. Artist will perform the work based on the agreed upon shape.. At the end of the service all ink leftovers are removed from the face with sterile wipes. Photographs will be taken and you'll receive your aftercare kit with instructions and products to care for your new permanent makeup for the next 14 days.

Your Microshading Powder Brow Expert

You have heard of it, but what exactly is Powder Brow?

WebsiteImage3.jpg

Microshading Powder Brows (also known as “shaded brows” or “pixel brows”) is a permanent makeup procedure, where the artist skillfully inserts pigment into the top layers of your skin. The result is a misty, powder-filled brow resembling the look of eyebrow makeup. At Defined Beauty, the artist delicately creates the desired eyebrow fullness and shape for your face.

The entire procedure is just two steps (the initial application & a touch-up 6-8 weeks post-procedure). Maintenance is needed annually, it will fade over time, depending on lifestyle, skin type, and exposure to UV rays.

how is it different from microblading?

Powder Brow is different than Microblading because of the softer, natural, and more filled-in effect. People are choosing microshading powder brows because the procedure is:

  • LESS INVASIVE: Microblading’s process creates incisions or small cuts into the skin. Powder brows are achieved using a small machine, which disperses extremely fine dots of pigments even into and across the skin in an airbrush or shading technique. Ombré powder brows are less painful, with minimal to no bleeding, and you heal much faster.

  • LONGER LASTING: Results will definitely vary based on your lifestyle, skin type, etc., but a single powder brow session, using high-quality pigments, can last on average 12-18+ months.

  • GREAT FOR ALL SKIN TYPES: Powder brows are perfect for any type of skin, unlike microblading, which is not recommended for oily skin.

  • INCREDIBLY NATURAL EFFECT: Powder brows have a more “filled-in” appearance, the results will leave you with a softly-shaded brow pencil or powder effect.

how DoES LIP BLUSHING WORK?

The experienced Defined Beauty artist will use a tiny machine to deposit pigment into the lips, which builds layers of natural color. It improves the lip shape and definition. This procedure can also provide a corrective service to help even out the tone of the lips, and assist in symmetry.
